The officer in Oklahoma was trying to set down “stop sticks” when the DUI suspect veered toward him, accelerated, and crashed into his car as he fired his gun.
Incredible body cam footage of a DUI suspect ramming her SUV into a police vehicle as the officer opens fire has been uploaded to YouTube by the Associated Press.
The incident started Nov. 6, with James Matthew Stacy — a police officer in the Tulsa suburb of Sand Springs, Oklahoma — involved in a high-speed chase with 41-year-old Stacey Ann Bunsey.
Stacy and other officers were responding to reports of a stolen white SUV when the driver sped off, setting off a six-mile chase.
According to Tulsa World, the initial plans were to disable the SUV with "stop sticks," but Bunsey allegedly drove to the parking lot of an elementary school and turned around.
It was then that the SUV accelerated, crossed lanes, and went straight for Stacy's patrol car.

As the SUV approached his position, Stacy drew his gun and opened fire just before it plowed into his patrol car. The moment of impact is intense, but Stacy was able to regain his footing and approach Bunsey's vehicle.
